Vettori was absent from Saturday's main event due to injury, and Chris Curtis took his place at short notice. Curtis defeated Allen in December 2021, but Allen avenged that loss with a split decision at UFC Vegas 90 after five classic rounds.
After the win, Vettori attacked Allen several times on social media, but the middleweight contender was asked to respond during the night's post-fight press conference.
