Tonight, WBC super flyweight champion Juan Francisco Estrada takes on Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez (19-0, 12 KOs) in a major 115-pound bout broadcast live on DAZN.
Estrada vows to knockout
WBC super flyweight champion Estrada (44-3, 28 KOs) has made it clear he is going for a knockout against “Bam” Rodriguez and will not hold back when it comes to landing some serious punches on the 24-year-old. If this fight goes to the late rounds, it could go against Estrada, so he may need to knock Bam out.
Sonny Edwards will be competing in a chief support bout and will be looking to make an impression in a 12-round bout against former IBF 108lb champion Adrian Curiel.
WBC women’s super bantamweight champion Yamilez Mercado will defend her title against Ramla Ali in a 10-round bout.

In the main event, the 34-year-old Estrada, returning from a two-year hiatus, will defend his WBC 115-pound title against “Bam” Rodriguez, who is moving up from 112 pounds to return to the super flyweight division.
Estrada didn't perform well in his two games before taking a two-year hiatus, so there are questions about whether he's good enough to beat Bam.
Estrada can't answer why he wasn't impressive in his last two bouts against Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez and Argi Cortez, but he'll have to perform better tonight to beat Bam.
This is not the type of opponent where Estrada can go in half-heartedly and hope the judges save him, which some boxing fans feel has happened in his previous two fights.
