On Friday at Turning Stone Casino in Verona, New York, DAZN promoter Oscar De La Hoya (Golden Boy Promotions) appeared in the main event as WBO Minimumweight champion Oscar “El Pupillo” Collazo defeated Gerardo Zapata to make his third title defense.
In the co-main event, welterweight Eric Tudor scored a stunning first-round knockout victory over Rodricus “Hot Rod” Livesey.
In the main event, WBO minimum-weight champion southpaw Oscar “El Pupillo” Collazo (10-0 (7), 104.7 rank, of Newark, New Jersey and Villalba, Puerto Rico) handily defeated southpaw “Gerardo” Zapata (14-2-1 (5), 104.2 rank, of Managua) in 12 rounds.
In the first round, Collazo dominated the fight, trading jabs with both southpaws. In the final minute of the second round, Collazo missed with a left and was hit by a right punch from Zapata that rocked his jaw and nearly knocked him to the canvas. In the third and fourth rounds, Collazo recovered well, winning both rounds with ease.
In the fifth round, Zapata fought back well, but Collazo landed two hits on Zapata's jaw, but was unable to win the round. Midway through the sixth round, Collazo stunned Zapata with a right to the jaw. Collazo continued to pursue Zapata throughout the round.
In the ninth round, Collazo was giving Zapata a hard time before the end of the bout, and in the tenth round, Collazo tried to stop the bout knowing he was way ahead and dominated the round.
In the 11th round, Zapata held on after landing a left punch with a minute left, and Collazo quickly countered with a combination. In the 12th and final round, Collazo had enough of a lead to win another round, but Zapata seemed content to fight until the end.
The scores were 119-109 twice and 117-110.

In the co-main event, welterweight Eric Tudor (11-1 (7), #146.2) of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, put in an impressive performance, knocking out “Hot Rod” Rodricus Livesey (12-3 (9), #147) of Atlanta, Georgia, in the first of a scheduled 10-round bout at 2 minutes, 19 seconds.
In the first round, Tudor overpowered Livesey with effective jabs followed by a right punch to the body. He was able to move around and avoid being hit by Livesey's attacks. Suddenly, a jab to the body followed by a right punch to the body put Livesey down by the count from referee Charlie Fitch. Tudor had lost weight for this bout.
Super lightweight “Marvelous” Miquan Williams (21-0-2 (10), #139.1, from East Hartford, Connecticut) knocked out southpaw Wilmank Canonico (12-6-2 (10), #140.3, from Plain City, Florida, VZ Caracas) at 2:57 of the second round of a scheduled eight-round bout.
Williams dominated Canonico in the first two rounds, but in the third round, Williams landed a lead right on the southpaw Canonico, who was in control until the final seconds, when Canonico missed with a left and Williams countered with a right to the jaw, sending Canonico down by decision from referee Mark Nelson.
Super middleweight “Dynamite” David Stevens (14-1 (10), ranked 167.3) of Reading, Pennsylvania, knocked out Sergio “Checo” Lopez (14-6 (10), ranked 167.2) of Bueno Aires, Argentina, in the second of a scheduled eight-round bout 2 minutes, 13 seconds into the bout.
What a great first round! Lopez hurt Stevens over and over. Stevens had just been knocked out in the first round. Stevens twice took Lopez to the canvas and wrestled him without a count from referee Charlie Fitch. All of a sudden, Stevens landed a left, followed by a right to the jaw, and Lopez was down for the full count.
Super lightweight Bryce Mills (16-1 (5), #141.6) of Liverpool, NY defeated Jose Maruffo (14-14-2 (2), #141.6) of MEX, Phoenix, AZ in six rounds.
The scores were 60-54 twice and 59-55.
Light heavyweight Yair “Big Hands” Gallardo Lozano (8-0 (7), #174.2) of Mexico City, Mexico, stopped Michael “The Hitman” Ruiz (7-3 (5), #174) of Arecibo, Puerto Rico, 1 minute, 18 seconds into the second of a scheduled six-round bout.
In the first round, Gallardo showed his superior power with a powerful uppercut to Ruiz's jaw. In the second round, Gallardo was landing punch after punch, but Ruiz was unable to fight back, and referee Benjie Estevez Jr. wisely stopped the fight. Ruiz's face was badly battered, with a cut on his left eyebrow.
Super welterweight Sasha Tudor (1-0-1 (1), #152.5) from ROM Craiova, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, stopped Manuel Moreira (1-6 (0), #150) from Sheridan, Wyoming in the first of a scheduled four-round bout.
Three consecutive punches from Tudor knocked Moreira down in the first round, and referee Charlie Fitch had to count to nine before he got up. When the bout was stopped, Tudor furiously pounced on Moreira.
