Videos of kangaroos fighting each other are shocking to most audiences around the world. But what about in Australia? This is a show that airs regularly “Down Under.”
Australia is a crazy place. There's no other way to put it. I've personally never been there, and to be honest, the wildlife footage I've seen of the continent (in addition to the 100+ venomous snakes there) doesn't make me want to go anytime soon.
I think one of the best parts of living in Australia is being able to interact with kangaroos. know Kangaroos are not harmless, and I've noticed a number of videos of the animals leaping around like crazy. Hurt peopleBut on the other hand, I would argue that there are no more unique and interesting creatures on Earth, which is why I don't mind spotting one in the wild every now and again.
And lo and behold, kangaroos are so common in Australia that there are more kangaroos than people living on this island continent. It's estimated that there are over 50 million kangaroos in Australia, and I think they need strength in numbers to really have an advantage.
The good news for Australians is that these long-tailed mammals are usually too busy fighting each other to worry about humans. These kangaroos were boxing in an Australian garden, and you know what I learned from that? It's free entertainment. Normally you have to pay to see this kind of thing, but these kangaroos decided to put on a show for free (while taking over the garden).
Honestly, I'm jealous that kangaroos don't roam free in America. I'd love to see wild animals fighting on my own land. I've never seen two raccoons or a pair of possums fighting each other more than once. It's such a shame. Our non-nuisance wild animals should learn from this kangaroo fight in my front yard.
