BINH DINH — Binh Dinh province is preparing to renovate a children's park along the beach and expand it into a two-hectare martial arts park.
The martial arts park will cover nearly two hectares along An Duong Vuong Street, adjacent to Xuan Die Street in Quy Nhon City.
The total investment for the project is VND47.8 billion (US$1.9 million), of which more than VND41 billion will come from Quy Nhon city's budget and the rest from private investors.
According to the Quy Nhon City People's Committee, the project will renovate and upgrade the existing community activity yard into a central circular yard covering an area of 3,200 square metres and featuring a drum logo pattern.
Around the central garden will be bleacher-like seating platforms made from colored stone and granite.
In addition, a 64-square-metre competition area, a 250-square-metre event stage and a 280-square-metre administration and exhibition area will be constructed.
The highlights of the Martial Arts Park are two areas with statues depicting traditional Binh Dinh martial arts poses.
The first area will feature three-metre-tall statues depicting martial arts poses, including 18 key poses that will be displayed outside the park.
The poses will be designed to represent the 18 forms of Binh Dinh martial arts using distinctive weapons.
The second area will feature a 1.7-metre-tall statue made of composite materials near the service area for tourists to take photos.
These poses represent the forms of the representative martial arts styles of Binh Dinh province.
Binh Dinh province hopes that the Binh Dinh Martial Arts Park will respect the traditional martial arts culture of Binh Dinh, an important cultural feature of the Central Region.
It will become an attractive tourist destination that will draw tourists and local residents and contribute to the development of tourism.
Moreover, Binh Dinh Martial Arts Park will provide a green and airy space with entertainment facilities for all ages, especially children, improving the quality of life in the area. — VNS
