(KNSI) – The finishing touches have been put on a new technology hub at the Southside Boys & Girls Club of Central Minnesota.
In partnership with the Best Buy Foundation, the St. Cloud site will have more than 1,300 square feet divided into stations, offering a glimpse into a wide range of potential skills and careers in technology. Members can step into a recording studio, learn to DJ, log on to their computers with professional applications, delve into robotics and coding, or take an interest in 3D printing or traditional embroidery or button making. can do.
Best Buy helped set up similar hubs at clubs across the country, including 10 clubs in Minnesota. The public will have their first chance to check out the technology space at a ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday at 4 p.m.
The St. Cloud Chamber of Commerce will lead tours and demonstrations of the Teen Technology Center. Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota CEO Mary Swingle says the space is amazing.
