Multiplayer fighting games Bare ass boxing Developer Tuatara has announced that the game will leave Early Access and launch for Switch and PC via Steam on August 1. PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 versions will follow at a later date.
Bare ass boxing It was first released in Early Access for PC on May 4, 2023, via Steam.
“We're incredibly grateful to all of our players who joined us in Early Access,” Tuatara founder Klemen Lozar said in a press release. “With 1.0, we wanted to complete the game with more content and a strong focus on local multiplayer, which was highly requested.”
Below is a synopsis of the game from Tuatara:
Colorful, mischievous aliens have descended on Earth to host a no-holds-barred boxing match. Shoot your opponent or a giant beach ball into portals to earn points based on which game mode is on. The player with the most points at the end of the round is the winner. Play locally with up to three friends, join a six-player online match, or battle bots in single player mode.
Punching isn't the only key to victory: collect item boxes and use special powers like the powerful Vacuum and Super Frenzy to turn the tide of battle. Watch out for stage hazards and avoid falling off the level: a gust of wind on a mountaintop or disappearing platforms in the Neon Disco Arcade can seriously damage your score if you're not careful.
Each fighter has a rainbow of cosmetics to choose from. Get ready to rock shiny new skins, wacky fonts and the latest alien boxing glove fashions. These customization options are always available in local play and can also be unlocked with coins earned in-game and shown off in online play.
Enjoy an intergalactic soundtrack composed by Grand Soleil and handcrafted for the ultimate knockout experience.
