Legendary British boxer Carl Froch has not stopped criticising Anthony Joshua, despite them being former gym mates in Sheffield.
“Cobra” has been attacking Joshua on and off for some time now, and when Joshua left Froch's former coach, Rob McCracken, he initially took offense, criticizing his training methods in their parting shots and commenting on “Cobra's” nose.
Joshua recently called Froch a “son of a bitch” in an interview and then sent Froch a message saying he didn't like him. Since then, the former super middleweight champion and Hall of Famer has spoken out publicly.
He has been highly critical of AJ's record and mental state, calling his upcoming fight against Daniel Dubois a British-level bout and claiming that his “soul was stolen” after his loss to Andy Ruiz Jr. in 2019.
Speaking to BestOnlineSpokerSites, Froch continued the controversy by calling a video of Joshua showing off the piles of cash he sent him “pathetic.”
“I don’t share most of the messages, I share 10%.
I don't know if I should have, but I shared the shot of him showing off his coins and his Rolex watch – a plastic gangster thing. Pathetic, childish and a bit silly, I think he's sick of it by now.
The reason I did it was because I thought why should I be abused by someone in his position?”
Joshua's next opponent will be Daniel Dubois in an IBF world title fight at Wembley Stadium on September 21. If he wins, he will become world heavyweight champion for the third time.
