The high school soccer regular season is over, and Dallas-area boys' teams are preparing for the playoffs, which begin Monday.
After three months of non-district and non-district play, the area's top teams were able to qualify for the postseason and, in some cases, win their respective district titles.
Going into the postseason, the Dallas area will be home to teams that are considered top-three favorites.
In Class 6A, Region I will have teams like Allen and Prosper in 5-6A, Flower Mound and Hebron in 6-6A, and Highland Park and Irving in 7-6A vying for one spot in the state. It is set. tournament. In Region II, Mesquite is anyone's guess, as teams like Horn, Wiley and Mesquite could compete for a state tournament berth, or another surprise his team could emerge like Zack did last year. You can be a part of it.
In Class 5A, Frisco Heritage is out of the postseason due to a seven-game mandatory forfeit, leaving Region II open to other district rivals such as Prosper Walnut Grove and Frisco Centennial. Region I is highlighted by his 7-5A teams, Lake Dallas, Denton and Denton Ryan.
Finally, Faith Family is one of the favorites to win the Class 4A championship, going 20-2 this year and aiming for its first-ever state tournament appearance.
