The Adel DeSoto Minburn boys soccer team won the weekend tournament 3-0.
The Tigers hosted the ADM Soccer Tournament, inviting five teams to Adel starting Friday. ADM took on Van Meter on Friday night, defeating the Bulldogs 2-0 and earning their first shutout win of the season. ADM senior Peyton Meyer broke a scoreless game 13 minutes into the game to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead, which was the score at the half. In the 55th minute, senior Rylan Stein-Smith took a corner kick that was headed in by senior Carson Kaye for ADM's second goal.
On Saturday, the Tigers picked up wins against Waverly-Shell Rock and Des Moines East, improving to a perfect 3-0 in the tournament and 5-0 overall. The Tigers will play tonight at Tiger Stadium in Adel, hosting the Gilbert Tigers starting at 7 p.m.
