West Hempstead's Morgan Salmon was named the Northeast-10 Conference Female of the Year and Defensive Soccer Player of the Year as well as a United Soccer Coaches All-American. Salmon, who earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from Adelphi University in May, played center back and captained the university's Panthers women's soccer team, which reached the Northeast-10 Championship Final in 2023 and won the school's first NCAA Division 2 National East Regional Championship in 20 years. Her final start for the Panthers was in the NCAA Division 2 National Championship semifinal against Washburn University, where she played the full 90 minutes.
