Logan explained that “No Mercy” is not as technical as someone like “Poitan,” but that being said, his playing was lightning fast.
“You want to talk about the most feared striker in the history of MMA? I think it's Melvin. He may not have been the best, he may not have been the best technically, but he was a big hitter,” Rogan said. [Alex] Pereira was probably the most tactical, but Melvin was absolutely terrifying.”
He added, “He comes at you with his guns blazing, wearing gladiator pants. He takes down Mark Hunt and puts him out. Who the hell does that?… Dude, he's so fast. This guy was like the devil.”
Melvin Manhoef retired with a record of 32 wins, 17 losses, 1 draw and 2 ties (NC), including wins over notable opponents such as Mark Hunt and Evangelista Santos. 29 of his professional wins came by way of knockout.
However, Manhoef has never fought in the UFC – he's spent the majority of his career in promotions such as Bellator, K-1 and Strikeforce.
