Germany's super welterweight champion, Abass Barau, defeated Britain's Macaulay McGowan in a 12-round bout at the Bolton Whites Hotel in Bolton, Lancashire, England on Friday night.

In the main event, Abass Barau (16-1 (9)) defeated Macaulay “The Withenshaw Warrior” McGowan (20-5-2 (5)) in 12 rounds.
In the quarterfinals, Leron Richards lost by stoppage in sixth round to Steed Woodall for the vacant WBO Intercontinental super-middleweight title.
The two fighters traded blows in the second and third rounds, and in the final minute of the fourth round, Barau sent blood flowing from McGowan's nose with a right hand.
In the fifth round, McGowan continued to move forward, barely able to fight back as he was hit with counter punches by Barrau.
In the seventh round, McGowan recovered enough to win a close fight. In the eighth round, Barrau again took control and overpowered McGowan. In the tenth round, Barrau knocked out McGowan's mouthpiece in the final seconds.
In the 11th round, the bout continued to be back and forth, with Barau gaining the upper hand.
In the 12th and final round McGowan's face was covered in blood but when Barrau again went for the stoppage he showed the heart of a lion by knocking the mouthpiece out in a hard fought fight.
The scores were 117-111, 119-110, and 118-110.
Southpaw Leroni “The Sniper” Richards (18-1 (4)) was stopped by Steed “The Stallion” Woodall (19-2-1 (1)) at 1 minute, 59 seconds into the sixth round of a scheduled 10-round bout for the vacant WBO Intercontinental super-middle title.
In the first three rounds, Woodall used mostly his jab to pressure Richards, but in the sixth round, Woodall landed a right to the jaw that rocked Richards, then landed three more punches, prompting referee Steve Gray to count Richards down at the count of eight, after which Richards stumbled and the fight was stopped.
Middleweight “Ruthless” Ryan Kelly (19-4-1 (8)) fought Jerome “The Breadmaker” Warburton (14-1-2 (2)) to a 10-round split decision draw. Referee: Ron Carney.
Super lightweight Ben Marksby (10-0 (0)) from Darlington, England, defeated Miguel “El Gato” Cesario Antin (20-16-1 (8)) by eight round points decision. Referee John Latham scored the decision 80-73.
Flyweight Chloe Watson (8-0 (0)) defeated Kate Radomska (4-4 (0)) by six-round points decision. Referee Steve Gray scored the bout 60-54.
Super lightweight Ellis Price (1-0 (0)) defeated Christian “Chris” Lopez Flores (14-41-2 (12)) by six-round decision.

Flyweight Miki Tallon (5-0 (0)) defeated Marius Visniauskas (2-24 (1)) by six-round decision. Referee John Latham scored the bout 60-54.
