Do you feel it? The Olympics are approaching.
The 2024 Olympics will be held in Paris from July 26th to August 11th.
But even before athletes compete on the world stage, we have some exciting events to keep an eye on.
olympic trials
Many still have to attend trials before they know if they qualify for the 2024 Olympics.
Swim trials will be held from June 15th to June 23rd in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The diving trials will be held from June 16th to 23rd in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Track and field trials will be held June 21-30 in Eugene, Oregon.
Gymnastics trials will be held June 27-30 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Team USA Media Summit
Meanwhile, events taking place this week will put Olympic hopefuls in the spotlight.
Team USA Media Summit. The United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee is holding meetings in New York City on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Approximately 100 athletes representing the Summer Olympics and Paralympics will participate in the summit.
KPRC 2 anchors Daniela Guzman and Keith Garvin, along with photojournalist Oscar Chavez, will travel to New York City to meet as many athletes as possible.

Houston athletes attend summit
Two athletes scheduled to participate in the summit are from the Houston area.
Kelsey Bing is on the Team USA field hockey team. This star goalie grew up in the Memorial District and graduated from St. John's School.
Jeffrey Louis, also known as Bboy Jeffro, wants to join Team USA to compete in a new Olympic sport: breaking. Louis is from Areef. He attended Westside High School and the University of Houston.
This week's countdown reaches an important number
The Team USA Media Summit coincides with important dates related to the Olympics.
Wednesday marks 100 days until the 2024 Games.
