In a rematch of last year's Frozen Four finals, the Buckeyes won their second title in 2024 after 2022.
The 2024 North Carolina Women's Ice Hockey Championship berths were announced on March 10th. Eleven teams were selected to play, with Ohio State being the No. 1 seed.
Regional competitions concluded on March 16th to determine the women's Frozen 4 at the Whittemore Center Arena in Durham, New Hampshire.

The North Carolina Women's Ice Hockey Tournament, which began in 2001, has been held every year except for 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Defending champion Wisconsin has won a record seven times, followed by Minnesota with six and Duluth, Minnesota with five.
