sunrise florida — Filip Forsberg scored twice and the Nashville Predators extended their point streak to a franchise-record 16 games with a 3-0 win over the Florida Panthers on Thursday night.
“We keep trying and that's the biggest thing,” Forsberg said. “We knew this was going to be a big test and we were ready to skate with one of the fastest teams in the league. I think we outplayed them tonight and that's something we want to continue to work on.” ”
Nashville broke its 15-game winning streak (14-0-1) from February 17, 2018 to March 19, 2018.
“I thought we played our game tonight against probably the best team in the league,” Nashville coach Andrew Brunette said. “We have remained true to ourselves. We will continue to strive for success like this.”

Hischier scored the one-all tying shot at 5:59 of the third period, deflecting Meyer's shot past Brossoit with seconds left on a Dylan DeMelo penalty that tripped Luke Hughes. At 11:52, Jack Hughes extended the lead to 3-1 with a high shot and Meyer scored on an empty-net goal.
