Miami just held its most physical practice since spring football began earlier this month.
The Hurricanes wore full pads for the first time and with a thud, more contact was made. After watching his first 45 minutes or so during the media availability, I provided key takeaways from her skills drills and her one-on-one training.
-RB Trevonte Citizen He appears to be recovering well from the knee injury that sidelined him for the past two seasons. He participated fully in full pads and absorbed some contact in 7-on-7 drills.
-The quarterback went through an accuracy drill this morning, but it's hard not to notice the Albany transfer Reese Poffenberger It shows excellent accuracy.
-Pads and contact create more energy and competitive trash talk. It's fun not only to see the players get in on it, but also to see the friendly trash talk between the coaches. WR coach Kevin Beard and cornerback coach Chavis Jackson It's especially fun to watch.
-We saw a good one-on-one battle between DB and WR.veteran receiver Xavier Restrepo Experienced transfer DB michael powell They play against each other often and each won a few battles this morning. Restrepo almost grabbed the highlight reel again today after falling to the ground, but it appeared the soccer ball hit the ground first.Still, it got Cam Ward I was excited to see Restrepo's efforts.
-Several receivers did a great job of creating separation today, including Restrepo. ray ray joseph, Isiah Horton and joshitha trader.
