UFC CEO Dana White has never been a fan of Jake Paul, so it's no wonder he's not happy about the YouTuber turned boxer facing Mike Tyson next.
Paul and Tyson are scheduled to box on July 20th at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas. The fight surprised many because of the age difference between the two, although White is not a fan. He also said that although he is good friends with Tyson, not even White would be able to attend the fight because Tyson would be 58 years old at the time the fight took place.
“I love Mike, but I hate to talk about it because he always gets mad when I talk about it, but he'll be 58 years old when the fight happens. There's a 31-year age difference, but Jake Paul He fought a kid his own age and lost. I just saw this on the internet yesterday: If he beats Mike Tyson, he'll fight Clint Eastwood next, and Clint Eastwood is 93 years old. White said on the podcast “The Pound 4 Pound.''
White also believes Paul is only boxing Tyson due to the fact that the YouTuber-turned-boxer can't sell himself a fight unless he fights a named opponent.
“He's not like that. What Jake wants is Jake to make money. People who follow Jake Paul don't buy Jake Paul's fights, so Jake Paul actually “We have to fight against people who can sell pay-per-views to the public,” White added.
Dana White and Jake Paul's long feud
It's no surprise that Dana White would criticize Jake Paul, as the two have had a long feud.
Since becoming passionate about martial arts, Paul has accused White of not paying his fighters enough. Paul has also boxed and beaten several former UFC fighters, which will likely further intensify White's feud with Paul.
But White isn't the only one complaining about Paul's boxing and the soon-to-be 58-year-old Mike Tyson.
