Georgia football will have a lot of fresh talent for fans to keep an eye on this spring. The Bulldogs have 22 early enrollees and six transfers this spring who are learning the culture and system of Georgia football. Seven more players will join the Bulldogs over the summer.
Georgia football head coach Kirby Smart detailed what he's seen on the Bulldogs' roster through three practices.
“There's a lot of competition out there. Overall, it probably feels a little younger than I remember in the past. Maybe it's the total number of new players. As far as mid-years go, we're in mid-years. I think it's going up a little bit. We've been setting new records every year with more midyears and more portal people being added. There's a lot of new faces out there. That's the biggest difference. But they're progressing well and practicing well,” Smart said.
Georgia returns quarterback Carson Beck and a number of veteran players, so it will be interesting to see how they fit with Georgia's new talent. The Bulldogs signed their No. 1 recruiting class for the 2024 cycle.
