Latrobe would like to push back the uniform return date a little longer.
The hockey team will compete in the National Hockey Championship this week in Westchester.
The event runs from Wednesday to Friday. Latrobe is scheduled to open the season against the Valor Screaming Eagles on Wednesday, followed by games against Northwest (Texas) on Thursday at 10:15 a.m. and Edwardsville (Missouri) on Friday at 8:15 a.m. be exposed.
These four teams will compete in a high school pool match.
Latrobe (13-8) advanced to the Penguins Cup 2A playoffs, but lost 4-3 to Franklin Regional in the first round.
The Wildcats qualified for the tournament with a third-place finish in their tier and as a highly performing member of USA Hockey.

The finalists for the Willie Thrower Award, which recognizes the WPIAL's top quarterback from last season, have been announced.
The six finalists are Nolan DiLucia of Peters Township, Julian Dugger of Penn Hills, Logan Kushner of North Allegheny, Matt Sieg of Fort Cherry, Peyton Wehner of Central Catholic and Montour. Jake Wolf.
Wehner was a finalist last year.
The winner will be announced at a luncheon on April 6th at Knead Community Cafe in New Kensington.
The award is named in honor of Thrower, a New Kensington native who won two WPIAL titles and became the NFL's first black quarterback in 1953.
Armstrong's Cadyn Olsen has won this award for the past two years.
The winner will receive a 29-pound bronze replica of the Willie Thrower statue at Valley Memorial Stadium.
100 for Wilson
Norwin senior Eva Wilson started her lacrosse season with a bang and a milestone.
Wilson scored his 100th career goal in the season opener, a 15-6 loss to Chartier Valley.

The Franklin Regional boys lacrosse team is off to a strong start.
The Panthers looked dominant with a 20-0 win over Gateway in the season opener.
Connor Lynch and Grant Novotny each scored six goals in the win.
Franklin Regional scored six goals in the first period.
