The Portland Trail Blazers have lost their third straight game after being upset by the Atlanta Hawks last Wednesday.
Let's take a look at how the Blazers rank in power rankings across the internet.
John Shuman, NBA.com:No.26 (old No.26)
The Blazers lost to New Orleans on Saturday, officially eliminating them from playoff contention. This marked the third consecutive season without a postseason (not even a play-in appearance), and the league's fourth-worst record during that period.
The Blazers are the only team in the Western Conference without a win against the conference's top four teams (0-13). The final three chances are this week's three-game homestand, with the Clippers (x2) and Nuggets at home.
Brett Siegel, ClutchPoints:No.27 (formerly No.28)
It's definitely good to see Deandre Ayton in action for the Portland Trail Blazers. Over the last five games, Ayton is averaging 27.2 points and 15.0 rebounds per game while shooting 63.2 percent from the floor. If the Blazers were better and won games, he would be Western Conference Player of the Week.
However, Portland is not a good team and continues to remain at the bottom of the NBA power rankings. From here, the future of this organization becomes uncertain. They did nothing to help themselves all year, and their story in the offseason will revolve around the futures of Jerami Grant, Malcolm Brogdon, and Anfernee Simons.
Colin Ward-Henninger, CBS Sports:No.23 (formerly No.28)
Deandre Ayton blamed sleeping on an air mattress for his bad start to the season. Has everyone experienced this? But he's been out of sorts lately, averaging 27 points and 14 rebounds on 68 percent shooting this week. He scored 33 points and scored 19 points against the Hawks, Portland's only win of the week.
