Arab News spoke to several shop owners and retailers in Riyadh.
Ikramullah Khan, owner of Sialkot Sports in Hai Al Wizarat district, one of the oldest shops offering cricket equipment in Riyadh, told Arab News: “We have been supplying cricket equipment for the past 22 years. My father started this shop and now with my brother I run a shop that supplies all cricket equipment for hard and soft cricket. Including trophies. I sell everything.
“Anyone who is interested in cricket can come to our store and buy. We offer all kinds of equipment, from regular equipment to branded equipment and high-quality equipment. If you want a brand that is not available in my store, I will provide it over time after the consignment arrives from Pakistan, but most of the equipment is available in my store,” he says. I did.

Khurram Mustafa, a cricket enthusiast and Pakistani entrepreneur, sought to boost cricket in Saudi Arabia by supplying cricket kits from Pakistan to Saudi Hardware Company (SACO) in 2021.
However, he said the initiative faced a setback as the response was not very enthusiastic, mainly due to the pandemic and lack of suitable cricket grounds for practice.
