After a brief hiatus last year, the 25th ranked Texas Tech basketball team will once again experience the fun of March Madness.
The Red Raiders are the No. 6 seed in the South Division for the 2024 NCAA Tournament and will play No. 11 seed North Carolina State on Thursday in Pittsburgh. Game times and television designations will be announced later tonight.
Texas Tech enters the tournament with a record of 23 wins and 10 losses, having won four of its past five games. That included a 1-1 run in the Big 12 Tournament in Kansas City, including an 81-67 victory over No. 20 BYU on Friday night at T-Mobile Center. and an 82-59 loss to No. 1 Houston.
This is Grant McCasland's second appearance in the NCAA Tournament as a head coach, his first being in 2021 when he coached North Texas. In that tournament, the Mean Green defeated Purdue in the first round and lost to Villanova in the second round.
