Joe Joyce wants to fight Joseph Parker, Deontay Wilder or Dillian Whyte after ending a two-fight losing streak with a 10th round knockout of Kash Ali. These three would be ideal for Joyce, the 2016 Olympic super heavyweight silver medalist.
Parker: hot name
Joyce (16-2, 15 KOs) looked strong after knocking out Kash (21-3, 12 KOs) at Resorts World Arena in Birmingham, England. If “The Juggernaut” had been lighter, he would have stopped Kash early in the fight.
Joyce's weight of 286 pounds slowed him down and made it difficult for him to combine punches. If Joyce competes against Parker, he should weigh in at a lighter weight, in the mid-250s.
Parker will be looking to avenge his last loss, an 11th round knockout that left a lasting impression on fans, by facing Joyce in September 2022. If Joyce can get a second win over Parker, he will be back in the eyes of fans and they will forget about The Juggernaut's two knockout losses to Zhilei Zhang.
Parker defeated Chan by 12 round unanimous decision. Before that, Parker defeated former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay in December of last year.
Joyce's wishlist
Joe Joyce was asked who his next opponent would be on iFL TV after his 10th round knockout of Kash Ali in Birmingham last Saturday night, he said: “I think Parker is a good fighter, and Dillian Whyte. Maybe Wilder.”
Joyce is ambitious with his career goals, which is what you want to see from a fighter who has been knocked out twice recently. Joyce's confidence hasn't been hurt by the loss to Chang. This is a good thing because many fighters would have given up in his position.
“Yes, I would love to do that. It's an exciting place, an exciting time. His Excellency Turki Alalcik has put on some great fights that probably wouldn't be possible here.'' Joyce said in response to a question. “I want to have a great night of boxing in Saudi Arabia.”
