Boxing will also feature at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, scheduled to take place from July 27 to August 10. Qualifying will take place at the Arena Paris Nord in Villepinte, while the medal round, including the semi-finals and final, will take place at the Stade Roland Garros. A major move in that direction came last year when the International Olympic Committee (IOC) stripped the International Boxing Association (IBA) of its hosting rights, citing governance, financial and judging issues. The IOC introduced a new qualification system that involves: boxers will qualify not from the Olympics (not to be confused with the repechage, which will still take place), but from major continental events such as the Asian Games and European and Pan-American tournaments.

The number of categories in boxing at Paris 2024: 13, the same as the previous three Games. Gender parity is now firmly established, as a result of the International Olympic Committee's efforts towards gender equality. The men's category has been slightly scaled back, dropping one weight class from the open category, while the women's category has been strengthened by adding an additional category. Paris Olympics 2024 Boxing Medal Table

Gender equality in boxing at Paris 2024 will be a further big change, one of many goals of Olympic officials. Meanwhile, in the men's competition, weight classes will be reduced to 8-0 and one division will be removed from the program.
