Tom Aspinall couldn't have been more right when he said after UFC 304 that fighting the winner of Jon Jones vs. Stipe Miocic was his only option.
Aspinall (15-3 MMA, 8-1 UFC) became just the third fighter in UFC history to have to defend an interim belt when he outpointed Curtis Blaydes (18-5 MMA, 13-5 UFC) in just 60 seconds in the heavyweight co-main event at Co-Op Live in Manchester, England on Saturday. Now it's time for him to fight for the unification.
UFC CEO Dana White said he believes Aspinall will fight the winner of the Miocic-Jones fight, which is expected to feature Jones' heavyweight belt at UFC 309 in New York on Nov. 9. But whether that actually happens remains to be seen.
But does he have any other options? Check out the video above for some thoughts and analysis on Aspinall's future after UFC 304.
