Molly McCann is confident her teammate and compatriot Paddy Pimblett will score a decisive first-round victory over King Green at UFC 304.
Both McCann and Pimblett are set to compete in their hometowns at UFC's next event, this Saturday at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester, England. UFC 304 marks the MMA promotion's return to the “Rainy City” for the first time since UFC 204 in October 2016.
“Meatball” will face Bruna Brasil in the strawweight division on the event's preliminary card, marking her second appearance at that weight class after making a dramatic return in February with a first-round submission win over Diana Berbica. She dropped down to 115 pounds after consecutive losses at 125 pounds.
Meanwhile, “The Buddy” is scheduled to face Green on the main card of UFC 304. Pimbret is coming off a commanding unanimous decision victory over lightweight veteran Tony Ferguson at UFC 296 last December, extending his impressive winning streak in the Octagon to five fights.
Not only have the two Liverpudlians built a strong bond, they also train together at Next Generation MMA Gym, and naturally McCann is all-in on his fellow Liverpudlian, confident that he will dominate Green in their upcoming clash…
McCann predicts Pimblett will silence critics at UFC 304
In a recent interview with Title Sports Network's Kaz Crossley, McCann shared her opinion on the upcoming matchup between Pimblett and Green, where she confidently predicted “The Buddy” would win in the first round, putting him closer to the coveted title fight.
“I think he can also silence the critics,” McCann said. “I think he'll beat Bobby in the first round. He's kind of [Conor] McGregor is not afraid to speak his truth and express it.”
McCann and Pimblett have previously faced off in the Octagon on the same night twice, both with undefeated records following a standout performance at London's O2 Arena during the 2022 UFC Fight Night event.
