BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – On paper, Missouri has everything it takes to make a deep run in the College Football Playoff in its first year competing with 12 teams. Led by quarterback Brady Cook, can the Tigers be consistent enough to make it through the SEC? Below is a quick preview of the Tigers.
Coach — Eli Drinkwitz: 40-22 overall (28-21 in four seasons at Missouri).
2023 season — They finished 11-2 overall and 6-2 in the SEC (tied for second in the East Division).

Season outlook — Missouri's offense is coming off a breakout season last year that saw them rank 28th in the nation in points (32.5 points per game) and total yards (434.3 yards per game). Cook is the driving force behind the offense, completing 244 of 369 passes for 3,317 yards and 21 touchdowns. Missouri's defense finished in the top 50 in most categories last year, but new defensive coordinator Corey Batoon is at the helm and must replace six defensive starters.
