A new champion will be crowned in the men's soccer competition at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
After five previous podium finishes, including bronze in 2008 and silver in 2012, Brazil won gold for the first time in 2016 when Neymar led the Selecao to victory on home soil.
At the coronavirus-delayed Tokyo Olympics, Brazil fought to the very end to beat Spain 2-1 in the gold medal game, with Euro 2024 hero Mikel Oyarzabal scoring the winner for Spain in the final.
La Roja will once again be one of the favourites to win, but Argentina, who beat Brazil and joined Paraguay in the CONMEBOL qualifiers, will be looking to reclaim their Olympic crown.
The United States will also be challenging for a medal after a disappointing showing at their home tournament in the Copa America this year.

The men's soccer tournament at the Paris Olympics begins with group stage matches. July 24thThe quarter-finals will mark the kick-off of the knockout stage. August 2.
The final will be held in Paris. August 9The day after the bronze medal match.

The 16 countries that qualified to compete in the Olympic Games went through a lengthy qualification process to select their teams. France They were the only team to automatically qualify.
The qualified teams were split into four groups of four teams each for a round-robin format.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the quarterfinals.
