Joe Joyce will face veteran Dereck Chisora in a 12-round heavyweight main event on ESPN+ from The O2 Arena in London. The event will be broadcast live on ESPN+ in the US today at 3:30pm ET/12:30pm PT, and on TNT Sports in the UK.
Chisora (34-13, 23 KOs) is coming off a year-long break so it's hard to predict how he will perform in the ring, and based on his recent form he probably won't last long against Joyce (16-2, 15 KOs).
Chisora still has the power so you can't completely rule him out of winning, and Joyce's punch resistance was absolutely abysmal in his two losses in 2023.
Joyce ended a two-fight losing streak with a win over Kash Ali earlier this year, but he's not his old self. “The Juggernaut” Joyce was depleted after two knockout losses to Zhang Jie Lei last year and didn't perform well against Kash.
The undercard bouts for Joyce vs. Chisora are as follows:
- Dennis McCann vs. Ionut Barta: Fight for the vacant European super-bantamweight title
- Ryan Garner vs. Archie Sharpe: Super featherweight
- Raven Chapman vs. Johana Sarabia
- Moses Itauma vs. Mariusz Wach
