The 2024 Summer Olympics are upon us, with Friday's historic opening ceremony and parade of national athletes officially heralding the start of the highly anticipated competition featuring athletes from more than 200 countries.
According to the International Olympic Committee, more than 10,500 athletes are expected to take part in 329 events in 32 sports at the 2024 Paris Olympics, which runs until August 11.
Athletes from 203 National Olympic Committees will be competing in this year's Paris Olympics, with some countries sending significantly more athletes than others.
Of the participating nations, only 33 send more than 100 athletes to the Olympics, and 12 have more than 250 athletes.
As of July 26, the countries with the most athletes participating in Paris are:
