Everything martial arts fans need to know about the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, which will feature boxing, wrestling, judo and taekwondo.
With karate now removed from the Olympics, martial arts fans now have just four sports to look forward to, but what does the actual schedule look like for martial arts fans in Paris?
2024 Olympics: Martial Arts Schedule and How to Watch
The Paris 2024 Olympics kicked off with an opening ceremony on Friday night, followed by the first competition in two sports on Saturday, July 27, and the first combat sports/martial arts competition soon after.
- boxing: Starts Saturday, July 27th and ends Saturday, August 10th
- judo: Starts Saturday, July 27th and ends Saturday, August 3rd
- Taekwondo: Starts Wednesday, August 7th and ends Saturday, August 10th
- wrestling: Starts Monday, August 5th and ends Sunday, August 11th
In the US, fans can watch through various networks and streaming platforms, although some events will be held simultaneously, meaning US broadcasts may be delayed by a few hours.
The NBCUniversal network will broadcast most of the Olympic events, Peacock will also broadcast many events, and cable and satellite subscribers will be able to watch via NBCOlympics.com.
NBCUniversal will also offer two other channels, “Paris Extra 1” and “Paris Extra 2,” with the Los Angeles Times reporting that martial arts will be broadcast exclusively on “Paris Extra 2.”
Let's take a closer look at the four martial arts events scheduled to be featured at the Paris 2024 Olympics, including the daily schedule, start times, and all-important gold medals.
Boxing at the 2024 Paris Olympics
Boxing will begin with the women's 60 kg semi-finals on 3 August, followed by seven days of “regular events” (rounds of 32, rounds of 16, quarter-finals) before the first medals are awarded, with competition then following the schedule below.

Most boxing events at the 2024 Olympics will begin at 11 a.m. local time, which equates to around 5 a.m. on the East Coast and 2 a.m. on the West Coast.
The event, including many of the gold medal matches, will run until 11pm local time, meaning US viewers will be able to watch the action from around 5pm ET / 2pm PST.

Judo at the 2024 Paris Olympics
Judo will have a slightly different schedule compared to boxing, with only eight days of competition, but each day including at least one final.

The earliest start time for judo at the 2024 Olympics is 10:00 a.m. local time (4:00 a.m. ET/1:00 a.m. PST), with the final scheduled to begin by 4:00 p.m. local time (10:00 a.m. ET/7:00 a.m. PST).

Taekwondo at the 2024 Paris Olympics
Of the four martial arts events at the 2024 Paris Olympics, taekwondo will have the shortest competition period, competing over just four days, with early qualifying rounds and a bronze medal match taking place each day alongside the finals.

Wrestling at the 2024 Paris Olympics
The final combat sports of the 2024 Olympics, and perhaps the biggest, are the men's and women's wrestling competitions, which will begin with separate “regular events” on August 5, with medal matches taking place between August 6-11.
