Gamers saw an 8GB update for College Football 25 on Tuesday morning, and what did it contain?
EA Sports teased some of the things it's working on in a post on its Answers HQ page on Monday: Tuesday's update doesn't include everything listed, but the Orlando-based video game company is working on making its hugely popular games run more smoothly.
College Football 25 is the first game of its kind to be released since NCAA Football 14 in 2013. EA announced that it had sold more than 2.2 million copies before its worldwide release on Friday, July 19th.
However, it's not without bugs: The servers may have been overloaded multiple times due to the large number of gamers playing after the early release on July 15, and there was no mid-week maintenance update.
Here are the issues with College Football 25 that EA Sports has announced it will fix.

- The Florida war song and Tennessee's “Rocky Top” song won't be available on the Xbox Series S.
- Commentary for the first game of the season in Dynasty mode in Utah was incorrect.
College Football 25 SEC, Florida International logos are wrong
EA Sports listed the teams and conferences that have the incorrect logos in the game as follows:
- Stanford
- University of Massachusetts
- West Michigan
- Jacksonville State University
- International University of Japan
- New Mexico
- SEC
- Conference USA
- Sunbelt
EA also said that the incorrect sports branding was displayed on gear for UTEP and Wyoming in Dynasty mode, and that conference patches on uniforms had issues with conference changes for a “small number of teams” in Dynasty.
Are FCS teams winning too many upsets in SuperSim?
EA Sports said it was adjusting Super Sim Logic, which determines the outcomes of simulated games in Dynasty mode, after receiving feedback that FCS schools were causing more upsets than expected. College Football 25 does not include any actual FCS schools, so spots on the schedule for FBS teams are filled with generic teams created by EA.
Other issues with Dynasty that EA says it's addressing include: EA also offers tips on how to avoid some of these issues.
- Players will be unable to load previously established online dynasties.
- Adding a team to the Pac-12 does not generate a new conference schedule.
- Changed meeting rules are not saved.
- Recruits who reach the top five stage are not necessarily labeled “visit-ready.”
- The maximum number of coaches you can create is now 20, instead of 32 as originally planned.
- Editing equipment will change the jersey numbers and overall ratings of some players.
- If you quit Super Sim and then immediately try to simulate play, the game will freeze.
- Practice so it doesn't show up as an option in the Teams tab.
EA also said it is tweaking its hiring logic.
College Football 25 Team Builder Problems
- Regardless of the brand of apparel you select in Play Now, your cleats will default to Adidas.
- The second custom image layer does not appear in the field.
College Football 25 is available exclusively on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Does College Football 25 have cross-play with Dynasty?
College Football 25 will have cross-play enabled, allowing PlayStation 5 users to play against those on Xbox Series X|S. However, cross-platform play will only be available for College Football Playoff, Ultimate Team, and Play A Friend modes.
