Connor Stallions, a central figure in the University of Michigan football's sign-stealing scandal, is set to speak out about his actions for the first time.
An episode of the Netflix documentary series “Untold,” scheduled to premiere Aug. 27, will focus on Stallions' story.
The NCAA and Big Ten Conference ruled last year that Michigan illegally engaged in in-person scouting of future opponents and potential foes, and Stallions was seen as the mastermind behind the operation, buying tickets to games the Wolverines were scheduled to play and then being seen at the venues afterward.
Stallions resigned from the University of Michigan football staff following the 2023 season, which ended with the Wolverines going undefeated and winning the national championship. Then-Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh denied knowing about any illegal scouting practices but was still suspended by the Big Ten for three games through the end of the 2023 regular season.
Micah Brown, a former University of Kansas football player who has directed documentaries for ESPN and Peacock, will helm the Stallions episode.
Netflix also announced the themes for two upcoming episodes of “Untold”: an episode focusing on the murder of former star quarterback Steve McNair will air on Aug. 20, and an episode examining former star goalkeeper Hope Solo's feud with U.S. Soccer will premiere on Sept. 3.
