In addition to Mike Perry's TKO loss to Jake Paul on Saturday night in Tampa, Fla., Perry also had to deal with post-fight anger after former two-time UFC champion and BKFC co-owner Conor McGregor slammed him with “X.”
McGregor was not pleased with Perry's performance and threatened to “fire” him and replace him in other fights. Perry was quick to respond during his post-fight press conference on Saturday night.
““He doesn't deserve to be promoted because me and him own BKFC,” Perry said. “He can't fire me. We can fight bare-knuckle. Look at me. I lost to Jake Paul. Why don't you put gloves on and fight Jake Paul? I think that would be worse than Conor McGregor vs. Jake Paul.” [Floyd Mayweather]”

Mayweather defeated McGregor in the Irish boxer's only boxing bout back in August 2017. McGregor has only won one fight since then and hasn't headlined a UFC event in over three years, while Perry went 7-8 in the UFC before switching to bare-knuckle fighting and has arguably become the biggest star in the history of the growing sport.
Perry hadn't boxed in nine years, but the win was Paul's 10th career victory, adding to the list of former UFC fighters the Ohio native has beaten that includes Tyron Woodley (twice), Ben Askren, Nate Diaz and Anderson Silva.

It remains to be seen whether McGregor, who is still waiting for a new fight with Michael Chandler before the end of 2024, will keep his promise or just be business as usual McGregor.
