Jake Paul's victory over Mike Perry last night (July 20th) with Paul winning by TKO in the sixth round was hardly a surprise.
The fight went on as scheduled, but when Mike was unable to fight one of his opponents, a replacement was used and the Mike Tyson fight was postponed until later in the year.
Paul knocked his opponent down three times during the bout, and Perry took quite a few punches before the referee decided enough was enough and stopped the bout.
This may not be the last time the two fight, as they could potentially step into Perry's territory and do a mixed martial arts bout, but at this point, who knows what's going to happen.
Either way, the fight may not have been much of a contest, but Paul seemed determined to make a spectacle of it by appearing in the ring in a chariot and dressed as a gladiator.

It was certainly a dramatic admission, and boxing fans realized there was a lot to be said about the case.
“At the end of the day, he's a showman and he's entertaining, I'll admit that,” was the crowd's reaction to the pre-match spectacle.
But many of the reactions to the ring walk seemed like an opportunity for people to criticize Paul.
He again faced criticism that he was “not fighting real boxers” and “only fighting bad boxers”, while others considered the very idea of dressing up as a gladiator “beyond embarrassing” and “a great embarrassment to humanity”.
Some praised him as a “warrior,” while others quipped, “He did all that to fight a 170-pound MMA fighter?”
Paul is certainly a polarizing figure in boxing circles, with some people enjoying his fights and others believing he picks easy opponents with little actual boxing experience.
He is set to fight Mike Tyson later this year, with November 15th set as the rescheduled date.

Even that bout has attracted a lot of criticism, as Tyson is many years older than Paul and has long since finished his formal boxing career.
He's still a big name in boxing, but at 58 years old he'll be fighting a 27-year-old.
More importantly, he's 58 years old, had a medical emergency that forced the fight to be postponed, and may not be as formidable an opponent as he once was.
