The upcoming Olympics in Paris will feature a total of 32 sports, including breakdancing, surfing and football, showcasing the talents of a wide range of athletes from around the world. But the potential for future additions to the Olympic program is endless, with many sports vying for a place on the world's biggest stage.
Six additional sports are set to be added to the Olympic sports programme at the Los Angeles 2028 Games: flag football, squash, baseball, softball, lacrosse and cricket.
