Jake Paul and Mike Perry are set to fight this weekend, but Perry took his frustrations out on a rival deodorant mascot during training on Wednesday.
Mike Perry punched Jake Paul's mascot last night after he disrupted a training session.
Perry, filling in for heavyweight legend Mike Tyson at short notice, will face Paul in an eight-round bout on Saturday night in Florida. To kick off fight week, the two rivals have been practicing in front of fans, but Perry also entered the ring with Paul's mascot to promote the social media star's new deodorant.
As Mascot climbed the ropes, Perry said, “What the hell is going on?”, then raised his hands and delivered a right punch to Mascot's body. Perry landed a punch and Mascot fell to the canvas, and security intervened to pull him out.
Perry, who was wearing a necklace featuring Paul's head, later said, “I'm here to win. I'm here to win this week. You can't say that crap in my face like some social media people. This is real life and if you say that in my face I'm going to treat you like that. I'm bringing home the win, I'm bringing home the prize money and I'm bringing home Jake's head.”
Perry made a name for himself in mixed martial arts, winning 14 of his 22 fights, before turning to boxing and compiling an unbeaten 5-0 record. His only professional boxing bout ended by stoppage nearly a decade ago, but he added: “I've fought MMA, boxing, boxing every year for the last 10 years. I'm the unbeaten king of violence. I've beaten guys that have never lost before. Jake can box, but I can fight. What do you do with a boxer? Fight and take him to the deep end.”
Born and raised in Cleveland, he became a troublemaker under the bright lights of Los Angeles before eventually finding his own paradise in Puerto Rico. Jake “El Gallo de Dorado” Paul will face Mike Perry this Saturday in Florida.

“Anything I want is possible. Anything I want can happen. I'm looking forward to fighting this guy. He's on all the cameras and he should have been on them years ago. My life is great. I don't need to change anything because of this. I've been on a path to prosperity and I'm only going to continue to do so. I love to fight and I'm ready to fight. I'm ready to give him a fight like he's never seen. Great fighters get beaten up before they become even greater. I'm here to teach him a lesson.”
