Munich-based recruiting technology startup WorkerHero has raised €4 million in a Series A funding round.
WorkerHero was founded in 2021 by Richard Fisher, Stephen Miller, Michael Koenig and Emanuel Wernitz to address the skilled labor shortage.
The company uses AI-powered sourcing and matching to connect companies with top candidates.
The platform is available in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and has over 70,000 users. Companies using the platform for recruitment include Telekom, HelloFresh and BayWa.
The round was led by Mediahuis, with participation from 10x Founders and Bonsai Partners.
according to Patrick de Wachter, Corporate Development Director at Mediahuis:

Richard Fischer, CEO and co-founder of WorkerHero, emphasized:
“We want to solve Europe's labor shortage by helping companies find skilled workers in specific countries and abroad. With the support of Mediahuis and our existing investors, we are ready to make our vision a reality.”
This funding round will enable WorkerHero to update and further scale its platform and enter new industries. Additionally, WorkerHero aims to focus on international recruiting to help recruit skilled workers from overseas.
