BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The EA Sports College Football 25 video game was released Monday, giving fans an early look at the upcoming season and a chance to play with their favorite teams.
EA Sports hasn't released a college football game since the 2014 season because of legal disputes over the use of player likenesses in the game, so this year's game was highly anticipated.
However, the law now allows college athletes to profit from their name, image and likeness rights, so the video game allows names and other details to appear on the back of their jerseys. Game modes include Dynasty, Road to Glory, Ultimate Team and Road to the College Football Playoff, each of which gives users unique and in-depth abilities to manage their desired programs and players.
Indiana enters its first season under head coach Kurt Cignetti in 2024 and its new roster includes 30 transfer students and 17 freshmen.
