The NBA Summer League is currently underway in Las Vegas, Nevada.
During the games, broadcast crews will interview players, coaches and executives from around the league.
On Sunday, former All-Star John Wall ESPNAnd he made it clear that he still wants to play in the NBA.
Wall: “For me, I haven't given up on my dream of getting back into the league. I know there's a lot I've been dealing with, injuries and stuff like that. My focus is just to work hard, come here and network and get on the team. Whatever role I'm in, I'm happy to accept it.”
Wall most recently played for the Los Angeles Clippers during the 2022-23 season.
He appeared in 34 games (three starts) and averaged 11.4 points, 2.7 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game while shooting 40.8 percent from the field and 30.3 percent from three-point range.
Wall also said, per ESPN, “If it means going to a team and being a veteran and helping out some of the younger guys and teaching them how to be a point guard, that's development I'm happy to do.”
Wall was the first pick in the 2010 NBA Draft out of the University of Kentucky.
In addition to his time with the Clippers, he also played 11 seasons with the Houston Rockets and Washington Wizards.
His career statistics are 18.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, 8.9 assists and 1.6 steals per game while shooting 43.0% from the field and 32.2% from three-point range in 647 regular season games.
The five-time All-Star played in 37 playoff games with the Wizards.
