We can all, as adults, acknowledge the simple truth about Bronny James: He's a long-term project, not a quick fix. He's not an NBA player ready to play right away. Most already knew this, but one week of NBA summer basketball proved it. The former USC Trojan will spend the upcoming basketball season in the G League honing his game. He needs to hone his body, his strength, his stamina, but most of all, he needs to hone his jump shot.
LeBron Wire reviewed Bronny James following Friday night's NBA Summer League game between the Lakers and the Houston Rockets.
James is clearly a project player, and his performance on Friday was another reminder of how far he still has to go to become a finished product. He played more aggressively than he did in the California Classic, but missed all eight of his 3-point attempts and was just 3 of 14 overall.
He finished with eight points, five rebounds, two steals and three turnovers in 27 minutes of play.
Spend a year in the G League, hone your jump shot, and we'll see how far you can get next April, Bronny James.
