Tim Cook, Sundar PichaiSatya Nadella and others used their social media platforms to condemn the political violence and voice their support for President Trump's recovery.
“We pray for President Trump's speedy recovery. Our thoughts are with him, the other victims and the Trump family. We strongly condemn this act of violence,” Apple CEO Tim Cook wrote on X.
Similar views were expressed by Google's Sundar Pichai, Microsoft's Satya Nadella, and Mark Zuckerberg All of Mehta's work emphasizes the unacceptable nature of political violence.
“I wish President Trump a speedy recovery,” Pichai tweeted. “I am shocked by today's shooting and loss of life. Political violence is unacceptable and we must stand together and strongly oppose it.”
Microsoft Chairman and CEO Satya Nadella condemned the act, saying, “Violence of any kind has no place in our society. We offer our heartfelt prayers for President Trump's speedy recovery and for all those affected by today's horrific events.”
Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Meta, expressed similar sentiments on the Threads social media platform: “This is a very sad day for our country. Political violence undermines democracy and must always be condemned.”
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman expressed relief, saying he was “very happy that President Trump is safe.”
Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff responded in more detail, saying, “We pray for President Trump's full and speedy recovery. May his body be healed, his mind at peace, and his soul at peace. May he be blessed with strength and courage and a speedy return to good health. There is no place for political violence in our country.”
Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky joined in, saying, “We are horrified by the political violence against a former president. We are glad that President Trump was not seriously injured. Our sincere condolences go out to him and his family.”
Jeff BezosAmazon founder John F. Kennedy praised Trump's calm during the attack, saying, “Tonight, our former president showed extraordinary grace and courage under literal attack. We are grateful that he is safe and offer our deepest condolences to the victims and their families.”
