Honestly, I can't recommend it enough to see your favorite team win. It's absolutely amazing in every way imaginable. Every day since June 17th has been a better day than I could have ever imagined, and I can honestly say there's no end in sight. We've all wondered for years what this moment and feeling would be like in the Tatum/Brown era, and now it's here, they're finally champions, and the good times will continue.
I never get tired of seeing headlines like this
Watching NBA champion Jayson Tatum speak freely, openly and about anything he wants to say
We have great news today as NBA champion Derrick White will be joining Team USA.
Everything was fantastic and I would say again that I highly recommend experiencing a summer like this, it's just amazing.
We can also add today's news to the list: NBA champion Jayson Tatum continues to fulfill a prophecy of Celtics legend, becoming just the third 2K cover athlete with a Celtics champion (Kyrie also became a 2K18 cover athlete).
To me, this aspect of Tatum's story is the best part of him winning a title with the Celtics. It got him into one of the most exclusive basketball clubs in existence. Of course, we always knew he was good and destined to be great, but you don't get to join the club with all the other Celtics greats unless you win your own flag. Getting the official stamp makes this championship that much more special for Tatum (and Jaylen Brown). They'll be in the club with the franchise's KG, Birds, Pierce, Havlicek, Heinsohn and Russell for the rest of their lives. Stamped forever.
In today's world, that means being chosen to be on the cover of 2K. A few days ago a photo of the new 2K cover was leaked on the internet, which I wasn't a big fan of, but seeing this version was a relief. I like how the green jersey stands out, but this new cover is as interesting as ever. When it comes to the moment/photo they chose, it's hard to complain.
Most importantly, this now brings me to a sort of dilemma and one of my biggest frustrations ever with video games/2K. I'm a guy who spent years building a 2K dynasty. I still play the AD 2K20 (burp) version almost daily (currently leading the Pacers 3-1 in the 1st round, for those interested). I refuse to re-buy each season of 2K because all I really care about is my dynasty. I'm not really interested in starting over again once I'm in year 6 of the plan. This goes for Madden, The Show, etc.
The fact that 2K can't transfer this shit to their new games (at least I think so) is the biggest blunder ever. I would happily buy the new game every year if it meant I could keep playing the game I've put so many hours into. So now that Jayson Tatum is on the cover I'm in a pickle. Of course I want to replace the AD version with this, but as for my dynasty team, I'm not sure I'm ready to lose the guys/situation I've spent the last few years building.
Now, I'm leaving open the possibility that I'm an idiot and this is actually possible, but I don't think it's possible. At least from what I've found. If anyone reading this blog knows how to make it happen, please let me know in the comments. I really don't want to give up on my 2K20 team and hold off, but I might be so desperate not to buy the Jayson Tatum NBA Champion version. I've been waiting his entire career for this moment.

Honestly, I hope 2K can solve the problem and allow us, the users, to transfer the data. It shouldn't be that complicated in 2024. How about we take a moment to stop talking about AI nonsense and think about how to solve that problem instead? I think we as a society can agree on that.
