Minneapolis – The University of Minnesota women's hockey team's 2024-25 season schedule includes an outdoor match against Bemidji State University at the 19th annual Hockey Day of Minnesota (HDM). The Minnesota Wild, in collaboration with Valley Sports North and Hockey Minnesota, have announced that the 2025 Hockey Day of Minnesota will take place on Saturday, January 25th at Valley Fair Amusement Park in Shakopee.

Brad Frost“It's always great to be able to showcase collegiate women's hockey on one of the biggest hockey days of the year. This will be a great experience for our student-athletes. We'd like to thank the Minnesota Wild, Barry Sports North and everyone else involved for allowing us to be a part of this special day.”
The Bally Sports North broadcast event will feature more than 16 hours of original hockey programming beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, January 25. Broadcast coverage will include live coverage of three outdoor games at Ballyfair Amusement Park as well as a primetime Minnesota Wild game. The regional sports network will air highlights from all Hockey Day games throughout the weekend and will also incorporate coverage of the outdoor festivities at Ballyfair Amusement Park.

Hockey Day Minnesota 2025 will mark just the third outdoor game in program history. The 2014 Hockey City Classic saw Minnesota defeat Minnesota State University, 4-0, at Huntington Bank Stadium. Then, at Hockey Day Minnesota 2020, the Maroon and Gold defeated Ohio State University, 2-1, at Parade Stadium in downtown Minneapolis.
