Callum Walsh may look and sound like conor mcgregor (They're both Irish, after all!) But says the undefeated boxer. TMZ Sports He's not trying to be a carbon copy of the UFC star.
Walsh is an up-and-coming super welterweight boxing star. main event vs. Madison Square Garden on March 15th. Dauren Eleusinovthe second match at the iconic arena in the past four months.
This event will be even more special. It's St. Patrick's Day weekend, so Callum is super excited.
“It's unbelievable,” the Irish boxer said, adding: “I'm so grateful to have been able to do this at such a young age.”
Due to his Irish nationality and fighting talent, many players, including: Dana White Look at him (working with CW) become the next McGregor…but that's a comparison he doesn't like.
“I'm trying to carve my own path and do my own thing,” the 23-year-old said.
“I'm never trying to imitate anyone or be like anyone. People always say, 'You want to be like the Conor McGregor of boxing.' I'm just Callum Walsh. I’m just trying to be.”
That's no disrespect to McGregor… Walsh and Conor have met before, and Callum said McGregor was something of a role model for him when he was younger.
But he wants to be himself, not just another starfighter.
“I'm just trying to do my own thing. I'm just trying to make my own path. Leave my own legacy,” Karam said.

Walsh, who has a record of 9-0, is on track and hopes to keep his winning streak alive with a KO of Eleusinov (11-3, 10 KOs) at MSG on Friday night.
“I'm always looking for a knockout in every fight,” Walsh said.
And when it comes to his next target, Walsh has his sights set on whoever he wants at any given time…and that includes McGregor, eventually!
