Funakoshi Riki Martial Arts Academy was buzzing with excitement and a sense of accomplishment as karate students displayed their skills and enthusiasm in the championship match held recently at The Bluff.

Ms. Abigail Sueltz assumed leadership of the club effective July 1. She expressed her sincere gratitude to all the participants and their families for their unwavering support.
“We are extremely pleased with the dedication and progress our students have shown in this judging process. They all demonstrated not only technical proficiency but also the discipline and spirit that are the hallmarks of martial arts,” Mr Sueltz said.
A significant milestone for students looking to progress on their martial arts path, the promotion test saw participants of all ages and skill levels testing their knowledge and abilities under the careful guidance of expert instructors. Cheers and applause erupted in the dojo as each student received their well-deserved promotion, marking a new stage in their martial arts development.
Having played a key role in leading the club for many years, Sensei Sean said he has confidence in Sensei Sueltz's leadership skills.
“Abigail has over 14 years of experience and a deep passion for martial arts. I am confident that she will continue to uphold the dojo's values and inspire our students to strive for excellence,” he asserted.

Ms. Sueltz acknowledged the dedication and efforts of students and parents and extended a warm invitation to new students interested in joining Funakoshi Riki Martial Arts: “We warmly welcome all new students who wish to embark on this journey with us,” she emphasized.
Going forward, Sensei Sueltz plans to enhance the club’s offerings with new training programs and community outreach activities aimed at promoting fitness, discipline and personal growth through martial arts.
