MMA Fighting will have live round-by-round coverage of one of the most anticipated boxing bouts of the year, Nate Diaz vs. Jorge Masvidal, taking place Saturday night at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

Nate Diaz (0-1) is looking to bounce back from a unanimous decision loss to Jake Paul in his professional boxing debut in August of this year.
Jorge Masvidal (1-0) hasn't competed in a professional boxing bout since 2005, when he defeated Joseph Benjamin by majority decision, and hasn't competed in his last UFC bout since losing a unanimous decision to Gilbert Burns at UFC 287 in April 2023.

Round 1: Diaz comes out attacking the body. Masvidal starts southpaw. Diaz throws a flurry of punches. Masvidal counters with a volume of punches. Diaz tries to mix head and body attacks. Masvidal lands a right hook. Diaz continues to mix high and low attacks. He pressures Masvidal into the corner, but his punches don't go through very hard. Masvidal gets more momentum as the round goes on. Diaz is content to break down Masvidal's defense.

Round 2: Masvidal's punches are coming back a lot quicker this round. Diaz can't afford to lose. Diaz goes for the body. Masvidal fights back with short punches while staying off the ropes. Diaz's jab is working. Masvidal sneaks a right, then two more to the body. Diaz goes for the head, but Masvidal keeps his gloves up. Right hook from Masvidal checks. Diaz goes back to the body. Diaz fights back with a jab. It's a close round.

Round 3: Masvidal charges at Diaz, but Diaz defends. It's a rare sight. Masvidal attacks the body and opens up for a left to the head. Diaz presses but eats a counter left. Despite Diaz's impressive punching power, Masvidal is scoring with the bigger punches. Masvidal charges. Diaz doesn't stop punching, and now Masvidal has to back off. It's the end of the round for Diaz.

Round 4: Masvidal uses his jab well. Diaz wants to overpower Masvidal, but he doesn't avoid Masvidal's counters or combinations. Diaz punches the body. Masvidal lands a left counter. Masvidal lands a jab. It's close quarters. Masvidal lands a big punch to the body. Diaz lands a flurry of punches, nothing major, but it wears Masvidal down. Masvidal may be slowing down or conserving energy. There are still plenty of rounds to go.

Round 5: Masvidal tears through the body of Diaz. Diaz packs punches into Masvidal's face. They're going at each other hard. Masvidal's right hook is accurate. They go for the body every time they get in. Masvidal with a straight left. Diaz punches from all angles. Masvidal with a couple of jabs. Two rights to the body from Masvidal. Diaz backs Masvidal into the corner and starts throwing jabs. Masvidal comes out of the corner! This pace is crazy.
