The 2024 NBA Playoffs are just around the corner, and teams are beginning to book their postseason spots before the regular season ends on April 14th.
The top six teams in each conference will qualify for the playoffs, with teams ranked 7th-10th in the standings participating in the play-in tournament (April 16-19). Two teams from each conference will then compete, filling out the eight-team field, and the first round of the playoffs will begin on April 20th.

What they grabbed: At least they qualify for the playoffs
Boston became the first team to qualify for the postseason in 2024. Even if the Celtics lose every game remaining in the regular season, they will be guaranteed at least a sixth place spot in the Eastern Conference playoffs.
The Celtics have made the playoffs the past nine seasons, losing to the Miami Heat in the conference finals last season. The last time they were the top overall seed in the East was after the 2016-17 season, when they lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the conference finals.
What they grabbed: At least a play-in spot
Even if Milwaukee lost every remaining regular-season game, it would at least qualify for the Eastern Conference play-in tournament.
The Bucks have made the playoffs each of the past seven seasons. They were the top seed last year but were eliminated in the first round by the Miami Heat. They were the top seed in the East in 2022, but lost to the Boston Celtics in the conference finals.
