Would a fight be as entertaining as a brawl?
Nate Diaz's team and Jorge Masvidal's team collided at a press conference in Anaheim, California on June 6th. Anaheim is where the actual boxing match will take place, with a 10-round light heavyweight bout scheduled for Saturday night at the Honda Center.
“Now, on a personal level, I don't like the guy at all because of what happened with my coach and the (expletive),” Masvidal said of the brawl, “but I think when I get to fight on July 6th, it'll be resolved.”
It will be more than a brawl.
Diaz and Masvidal faced off at UFC's inaugural BMF in November 2019. Masvidal won the fight after the doctor stopped it in the third round due to Diaz suffering a cut above his right eye, but Masvidal was the favorite on the night and oddsmakers made him the favorite to win the rematch.
We'll bring you live updates on the Diaz vs. Masvidal fight and the undercard matches.

Conor McGregor bets on Nate Diaz
McGregor posted on his X account that he had decided to bet $500,000 on Diaz, and said he stood to win more than $1.6 million on the bet.
“Distance, form, experience and just using punches. I really can't see Masvidal giving Nate a problem in a boxing ring,” McGregor wrote. “They're both kind of shaky (expletive) in fights, but I think Nate would really beat Easy here.”
McGregor and Diaz fought to a draw in two intense mixed martial arts bouts in 2016, with Diaz recently expressing an interest in a trilogy bout.
Luis Lopez defeats Alan Sanchez by unanimous decision
In a spirited fight, both Lopez and Sanchez gave it their all until the end, with Lopez appearing to have the victory in the closing rounds.
Sanchez took more damage from an accidental head butt than from Lopez's punches, but Lopez convinced the judges with his offensive prowess.
The scores were 77-75, 77-75, 77-75.
Lopez, 27, of Corona, California, improved to 16 wins, 2 losses and 2 draws. Sanchez, 33, who was born in Mexico and lives in Fairfield, California, fell to 23 wins, 6 losses and 1 draw.
Gabriel Costa defeats Steve Dunn by KO
Records proved to be very misleading: Dunn entered the heavyweight bout 5-0 with five knockouts. Costa was 3-7 with all of his losses coming by knockout.
But Costa withstood several hard punches from Dunn in the first round and then knocked out the previously unbeaten opponent with a flurry of punches in the second.
Dunn, 27, from Hollywood, looked as tired as he was injured, taking a knee and holding it for the count of 10. Costa, 22, from Brazil, looked ready to go on. In fact, he didn't even try to sit down between the first and second rounds.
Kenneth Lopez defeats Andres Martinez by unanimous decision
Lopez improved to 10-0 with a win over Andres Martinez in a six-round super middleweight bout.
The judges scored the fight 59-54, 58-55 and 59-54 in favor of Lopez, 29, of Ceres, California.
The 25-year-old Equatorial Guinea-born Martinez finished with a record of 4 wins and 2 losses.

Nate Diaz vs Jorge Masvidal predictions
Daniel Cormier, former UFC heavyweight champion“Even in the MMA fight, we thought Masvidal was the better striker. Nate was the better wrestler, the better grappler, but Masvidal had the advantage in that area. So now we're going to limit Nate Diaz to fighting Jorge in the only area where he felt he had the advantage in the first fight? Well, I don't think it's going to end very well for my beloved Nate Diaz.”
Former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping“I think Masvidal will win this time. He won the first fight. He got beaten pretty badly in the first fight. Yes, he got stopped by a cut, but he got cut because Masvidal was outmatched by him. He was faster, stronger and more technical. I don't think there will be much change.”
Josh Peter, USA Today Sports: Nate Diaz's lackluster performance against Jake Paul, resulting in a unanimous decision loss, proved he doesn't belong in the boxing ring. Masvidal will prove it again. Prediction: Masvidal via TKO in round 8.
